Yücel has an extensive knowledge on information technologies, intellectual properties, and data protection. He deeply involves with the business of his clients, which has given him valuable insights on legal or regulatory compliance projects, cross-border data transfers, technology commercialization, and implementation of disruptive emerging technologies.
He studied law at Istanbul University, Faculty of Law and received his law degree with honors. He obtained a Master of Laws degree in Business Law from Istanbul Bilgi University and a second Master of Laws degree in American Law at Boston University. Yücel is a member of ABA (American Bar Association), BBA (Boston Bar Association), IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), and ITECHLAW (International Technology Law Association).
He is regularly and enthusiastically involved in academia to deepen his understanding of social and legal philosophy. He has several years of experience lecturing on technology law, data privacy, and electronic commerce. He has been recognized as “Leading Individual” in IT and Telecoms in Turkey by Legal 500.
